So, I got the best birthday present from the Olsen family... a gift card to go to The Melting Pot!I have been battling for years with Erik about this restaurant.
I personally think it is the most wonderful invention ever!!! Who wouldn't enjoy a whole meal of fondue? The best is to go for the cheese and chocolate combo.. Who needs an entree when you have cheese and chocolate?? Not me!!
Well, Erik would have to disagree. He thinks it is way overpriced for fondue.. Especially since we have a fondue kit of our own (which BTW he bought a couple years ago for Valentine's Day to AVOID going to The Melting Pot... which I begged him for weeks to take me to). And, once Erik gets his mind set on something... it takes a heck of a lot of patience and persistence to get him to change his mind!
Which, is why, I totally LOVE my gift card to The Melting Pot!
This time, instead of asking Erik if he would take me (for the millionth time), I said, "So, you won't mind if I take the girls out to the Melting Pot would you?" Of course, I thought he would be thrilled because I was politely letting him off the hook.
When, to my surprise, he was like, "You don't want to go with me? I'll totally go with you!"
What just happened?
I guess it's only too expensive if it's your own money! He he he! So, we'll see if it will actually happen girls! But, if he doesn't go with me, you'll be hearing from me soon!

That looks yummy. I have yet to have a fondue dinner, so sometime I will have to try it!
