Jess has a really cool blog on her site called Memory Lane! The idea is that I post a memory I have with her and she will post a memory she has with me.. I think this is a great idea so I'm happy to start it out for her!
I have two favorite memories with Jess..
1. I remember sitting on the hard, cold basketball floor watching the guys play B-Ball. I remember we started talking about "serious" stuff like families and religion and she let me vent about family issues I was having. (Jess..does my step-mom ring a bell?) And, I don't really tell many people about my past. Anyway, I really appreciated that she let me vent and be honest about some of the crazy things that have happened to me in the past.
2. Recently we were at our hubbies soccer game. This time we were chatting about birthdays (since g's birthday was coming up) and we both realized that we both are used to having big birthday celebrations! And, we like making a big deal out of other people's birthdays, especially family members! And, we both love holidays and giving gifts to people! Something else that we have in common!
I really appreciate those one-on-one times where I get to know Jess better. She is such a great sister-in-law!
To Jess.. Thanks for being you and letting me be me!

You are too nice Heidi. Seriously. Thanks for sharing your memories! It made me so happy! I remember both of those vividly too & they both meant a lot to me as well.
And as for my memories with you....
Some of my favorites include helping you plan your wedding... Going with you to pick out bridesmaid dresses, going to the JSMB building to choose flowers & cake and such (and realizing that we like the same things!), meeting you for a spray tan at the last second (I am still SO thankful I didn't turn you orange the day before your wedding) and meeting you for the first time (you were so nice to me). And also, girls night with Margaret & Jennie at Gardner Village, fun times riding in the car with you & Erik in Hawaii, taking pictures in front of the sunset after snorkeling & dinner. I could go on & on!!!
Your friendship has meant so much. I love being able to talk to you & vent. Thanks for all you do, Heidi, I love you!
And Ps....Don't forget to encourage everyone else who stops by your blog to leave a memory of you & them!
I'm going to leave a memory that I have with you! I remember the first time I met you I thought to myself "I think this could quite possibly be the nicest person I've ever met in my life" and it's totally still true! And I'll always remember your wedding day - you were the most beautiful bride ever, and you could just tell how happy you were. You're just so great!!
My memories with you include playing poker and hanging out with everyone. I like to fold if you're in because it's soooo hard to read you, and while you are so nice I think the poker Heidi is RUTHLESS! HAHA! I also remember how shocked Darrell and I were when we saw your twin! We had no clue you were a twin before the wedding, so it was fun being there and meeting your family! We really need to get together again! I miss all you guys and we don't see you near often enough!
my memories of you Heidi are so lovely. I admire all of your ambition and drive! I love sitting at soccer games and chatting about everything, going to get our hair done and chatting (and watching friends!) Your wedding is also one of my favorite memories of you because you were glowing with happiness. Thanks for the laughs and all the great memories.
and who can forget the Christmas where we both got those adorable sweaters?!?!?
